(Philadelphia) – After working on some of Philadelphia’s toughest cases—ranging from DUIs and armed carjackings to domestic assaults and child sexual abuse— attorney Samuel C. Butler will put his experience to work for his clients at McMonagle Perri McHugh Mischak Davis.
Butler’s background includes work in both the municipal court and juvenile units of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he handled high-stakes preliminary hearings and trials involving child victims, firearms, and violent offenses. As the direct file juvenile ADA, he prosecuted cases in which juveniles were charged as adults for serious crimes such as armed robbery and vehicular homicide.
“Samuel’s experience inside the DA’s office gives him a unique edge—he understands how prosecutors think, how cases are built, and where they can fall apart,” said McMonagle Perri Personal Injury Chairman William M. Davis. “He doesn’t back down from a challenge, and that insight, combined with his relentless work ethic, makes him a formidable advocate for our clients.”
At McMonagle Perri, Butler will focus on criminal defense and personal injury litigation. He advocates for individuals accused of crimes, guiding them through the legal system and building strong defenses rooted in his prosecutorial knowledge. He also supports clients seeking compensation for injuries resulting from negligence.
Butler earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was active in trial advocacy and named a Rubin Honor Society Public Interest Fellow. A former NCAA Division I wrestler at Franklin & Marshall College, he remains active as a wrestling coach—bringing discipline, focus, and tenacity to both the mat and the courtroom.
