Steven Patton is an experienced trial attorney with an incredible record of success at trial. At McMonagle Perri, his practice focuses on the litigation of personal injury and criminal defense cases. He regularly handles cases involving catastrophically injured victims, complex investigations, and high-profile criminal defense matters.

Mr. Patton joined the firm from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he was then the youngest Assistant District Attorney ever appointed to the office’s prestigious Homicide Unit. He prosecuted cases ranging from manslaughter to first degree murder and oversaw the investigation, charging, and prosecution of all vehicular homicide cases in Philadelphia. He has also tried to jury verdict numerous cases including aggravated assault, drug offenses, DUI, robbery, and firearm possession.

Representing catastrophically injured victims, Mr. Patton has secured verdicts and settlements in a range of personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, negligent security, premises liability, bus and trucking crashes, and workplace injuries.

As an adjunct professor at Villanova University School of Law, he instructs students in trial advocacy and evidence and served for five years as the director of the law school’s National Trial Team. He remains actively involved in trial advocacy education and has coached nationally ranked trial teams at the high school, college, and law school levels. For the past 15 years he has served as the head coach of the mock trial program at Roman Catholic High School.

Mr. Patton is a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star List, an honor given to those who are in the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in Pennsylvania under the age of 40.
