Pennsylvania Hospitals, Ranked

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2021-22 “Best Hospitals” rankings by region and specialty. The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian was named the best in Pennsylvania and among 20 hospitals that made the nationwide Honor Roll. UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside came in second in Pennsylvania, followed by Jefferson Health-Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Lancaster General Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital. Hospitals on the lower end of the rankings include Jefferson Health –Torresdale Hospital, Temple University Hospital, Allegheny General Hospital, Riddle Hospital and Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia.

To create the list, U.S. News looked at more than 4,750 hospitals nationwide, with methodology largely based on discharge-to-home rates and risk-adjusted survival rates. Click here for the full Pennsylvania list.
