Charges dropped against South Philly doctor

THE DISTRICT Attorney’s Office recently withdrew criminal charges that were filed last year against a local surgeon.

Philadelphia Police previously said they arrested Andrew Collier along with three other men during a raid at a rowhouse on 30th Street near Mifflin in South Philadelphia on Nov. 26.

Collier, 61, of Moorestown, N.J., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy and drug manufacture, and delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
