Charges held for Montco woman accused of having sex with teenager

Charges against a 42-year-old married woman with children who is accused of having sex with a teenager will proceed to Montgomery County Court.

Iris Gibney, of Pottstown, waived her preliminary hearing in Gilbertsville district court on Tuesday morning and allowed for the charges to be brought to the court of common pleas. Gibney is facing charges of corruption of minors, disseminating obscene materials to a minor and trespass by motor vehicle.

“The waiver is an indication that both sides are looking to push this through and get into court,” prosecuting attorney Kristen Feden said. “All the charges are going to be held over.”
