Pedestrian Accident Lawsuit Draws in Three States, Six Figures

(Philadelphia) –  Attorney William M. Davis of McMonagle Perri McHugh Mischak Davis recently negotiated a significant settlement in an unusually complex case on behalf of a pedestrian hit by a car.

The client, who had moved to Connecticut after the accident, later died. Davis, in working to prove the driver’s negligence, began working with a surviving relative in Georgia. However, it was discovered that the death certificate incorrectly stated the client’s address as being in Georgia.

So, in addition to securing a settlement, Davis also had to create a estate in Connecticut and coordinate court proceedings in all three jurisdictions, all of which had to be completed before the statute of limitations expired.

In the end, Davis won a six-figure settlement for the client’s estate.
