Highway Construction Worker Hit on Job Gets Six-Figure Settlement

Our client’s occupation involved highway construction. While on the job, he was hit when another construction company’s truck backed into him. To make matters worse, his injury was later complicated by an infection that developed in his knee. In all, it took over a year to heal.

While he did receive funds from Workers’ Compensation, we helped him file suit against the company who owned the truck. Of course, they denied liability. Then, they said that the infection had no connection to the accident. But personal injury team chair Bill Davis got an independent medical expert to prove that the infection was, in fact, related to the accident.

When all was said and done, our client received a six-figure settlement on top of six figures in Workers’ Compensation to compensate him for his injuries and lost wages.
